Reminiscnece 10th Progress: Final improvements for now.


As I approach the final stage of this development section, Some small fixes, fine-tuning adjustments, and adding improvements have been done to ensure the best possible experience. 

Fixes and Adjustments

Throughout development, I  have encountered bugs and inconsistencies that needed to be ironed out:

  • Object Interactions: Fine-tuned how interactable objects respond to the player. From candles to books, the feedback has been adjusted to be more responsive and fluid.
  • Lighting and Shadows: Optimized the lighting system to ensure a smoother, more immersive visual experience. This also improved performance, especially in darker areas of the game.
  • Sanity Mechanic Adjustments: The Mortal Darkness mechanic underwent several refinements to make the camera effects feel more natural as sanity decreases. The recovery process has also been smoothed out to provide a better balance between tension and relief.
  • Changing Rooms: Refinement on the trigger of the events of the changing rooms. Some of them didn't occur as expected (shown on video).

This game will still be in great development to ensure a more satisfacory outcome. This is just the end of phase 1.
